Irresistibly delicious and addicting! Instant kid favorite!
Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
1 cup light brown sugar, packed
¾ cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
¾ teaspoon salt (or 1 tsp kosher salt)
1 cup chocolate chips, plus more for topping
1 cup peanut butter M&M's or which ever is your favorite.
Instructions
Preheat oven to 325°F
Cream butter and sugars for 1 minute
Mix in eggs and vanilla
Add flour, baking soda and salt, stir until combined
Fold in chocolate chips and M&M's (reserve ¼ cup for topping)
Line pan (9x13" for thick bars or 15x10" for thin bars) with parchment paper or foil. (If you have a silicon Silpat mat that’s fits your pan I recommend placing that on the bottom and spraying the sides of the pan with baking spray)
Press dough into pan and top with reserved M&M's and chocolate chips
Bake 30-35 minutes (9x13" pan) or 20 minutes (15x10" pan) until barely golden brown
Cool completely before slicing. Tip: It helps to wait until they are cool place a large cutting board on top of the pan and flip it over. The cookie should plop out in one large piece and then cut upside down. Now they are more manageable and easier to flip right side up!
