Microwave Cake Pops

Yield: 10-12 cake pops

Ingredients

Main Batter:

  • 60g (½ stick) butter

  • 60g (5 tbsp) sugar

  • 120g (½ cup) milk

  • 100g (⅔ cup) all-purpose flour

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • 1 tsp baking powder

Chocolate Batter Addition:

  • 1⅓ tsp cocoa powder

  • 3 tbsp milk

For Assembly:

  • Frosting or spread of choice

  • Melted chocolate for coating

  • Sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

Making the Cakes:

  1. Melt butter in a microwave-safe bowl

  2. Mix in sugar and room temperature milk

  3. Add flour, baking powder, and salt; combine well

  4. Divide batter in half. Pour first half into 2 cups and microwave 1-1:45 minutes

  5. Mix cocoa powder and milk into remaining batter

  6. Pour chocolate batter into 2 cups and microwave 1-1:45 minutes

Assembling Cake Pops:

  1. Cool cakes for 10 minutes, then transfer to a bowl

  2. Add 1-2 tbsp frosting and roll into small balls

  3. Dip sticks in melted chocolate, insert into cake balls

  4. Freeze for 10 minutes

  5. Optional: Thin chocolate with 1 tbsp coconut oil

  6. Dip cake pops in chocolate, add sprinkles, and let dry

Note: Microwave times may vary. Avoid overcooking. Recipe can be doubled for larger batches.
